Zyra Counter: Zyra is a high damage support with a focus on CC and harassment. She is immobile and squishy as most mages tend to be and as a result is a strong focus target for assassins looking to snowball. Zyra has the ability to change an entire match, with the right decision making thanks to her damaging, heavy CC AOE ultimate and her relatively powerful spitting plants that are especially painful early. Plants have great base damage, which is why Zyra gets played as a support. Grasping Roots and Stranglethorns provide incredible peeling potential. Zyra’s core abilities are all skillshots. Placing seeds from Rampant Growth well combined with summoning optimal plants gives her a high skill cap.

Tips To Deal With Zyra Counter 8.19

1) Zyra’s seeds from W/Rampant Growth can spawn plants which deal damage, step on them to crush the seeds preventing her from spawning a plant at that location.

2) Step away from Zyra’s ultimate Stranglethorns as soon as possible and avoid fighting in the area as it will knock anyone in that area up in the air allowing her and her team to setup for more damage.

3) Zyra’s abilities deal a lot of Area of Effect damage so looking to pick up magic resist against her is extremely viable to reduce the damage she can dishout.

4) Do not ignore Zyra’s plants while trading or in a teamfight as it is the major component in her kit to deal damage for her. Kill them instantly if possible.
