Azir Counter: Azir is a mid to high ranged control mage with decent waveclear and insane amount of poke and harass(melees will feel the pressure), he also has very defensive utilities in his kit which can be used offensively too based on situations. He can dash out of unfavourable situations or dash in to push everyone to an unfavourable place.

Tips To Deal With Azir Counter 8.19
1) Azir is forced to start with his ability to spawn soldiers first, making him and his soldiers immobile and fixed in position(applies only to his soldiers). The next ability he takes in almost 100% of the cases is his Q/Conquering Sands allowing him to move his soldiers after which he is allowed to take his 3rd ability Shifting Sands allowing him to move to them, making it his only mobility ability that can be used defensively to escape a gank. So look for early ganks on him because of not having any escapes till level 3.
2) Azir’s E/ Shifting Sands has a generally long cooldown so if he ends up being in a bad position after using it or if he has it on cooldown because he used it recently. Look to make a move and engage on him since it will be easier than him having his utility escape. Be wary that he can turn on you after it’s cast though, since he gains a good amount of shield after it’s use making it deceptive and hard to kill him.

3) Azir’s main component of damage is focused on his soldiers, so focus to build some attack speed reduction as a defensive stat since lowering his attack speed directly lowers the attackspeed of his soldiers which lowers the total damage output by his soldiers.
4) Azir has to get dangerously close to his enemies to use his ultimate Emperor’s Divide, so when you see him dashing through a route that will get him very close assume he is about to displace you to his enemies or an unfavourable place and look to move out of it’s way either by flashing out of it’s path or using any mobility present in the kit of your champion to avoid it.
