Tips To Deal With Aatrox Counter 8.19

1) Since Aatrox has sustain in his kit, buy items like Thornmail, Morellonomicon or Executioner’s Culling or use spells like Ignite that provide the debuff Grievous Wounds which reduces all healing by 40% preventing him from using it to it’s maximum efficiency in fights and duels in general.

2) Aatrox’s damage is mostly from auto-attacks and looking into this is the best way to reduce his damage as well. So picking champions that have attack-speed reduction abilities like Malphite, Fiora or items like Warden’s Mail help a lot against the likes of Aatrox.

3) When Aatrox’s Resource Bar is full he gains a burst of attack speed and additional attack damage and also the ability to revive on taking fatal damage, so this is a point in the duel when he should just be left alone and let the resource bar to cooldown to normal. After this you can engage on him again, since now he won’t be nearly as powerful and also will take time to get back to that state from a depleted resource bar.
